A Delicious Heat Beater

McLicky's, a new ice cream and water ice restaurant, is now open on High Street.

 

Cory Sullivan perfected a chocolate covered, frozen, creamy, crunchy, cherry vision of loveliness. 

Sullivan, a Pottstown resident, is the manager of McLicky's - a new ice cream and water ice restaurant at 250 E. High Street.

The building, which once housed a bar and has been empty for years, now includes a 1950's retro style ice cream parlor.

The 1,000-square-foot shop features indoor seating for 16 to 18 people, outdoor seating, serve ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, water ice and other goodies.

McLicky's will network with other local businesses, be an active community partner and add to the revitalization of Pottstown, he said and added he hopes other businesses will follow the ice cream shop and find a home downtown.

McLicky's plans to host a grand opening Aug. 6.
