Community To Discuss Marcellus Shale Development

Speakers will include financial management, legal and CPA experts who will discuss the strategies for financial planning.

Penn State Cooperative Extension will host a workshop, “Financial Considerations Relating to Marcellus Development in Pennsylvania” from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24, 2011 at the Lares Building, Penn State Abington Campus, 1600 Woodland Ave., Abington, PA, 19001.  

Speakers will include financial management, legal and CPA experts who will discuss the strategies for financial planning.  

Topics will include the Marcellus market overview, financial tax arrangements to optimize retained income, and estate and investment planning.

Participants will have a greater understanding of the financial issues and planning necessary following the drilling of a gas well.  

Financial service providers will be available before, during and after the program to provide additional information.
