Lincoln Elementary Students Raise Money For American Heart Association

The total fund-raising efforts for Lincoln Elementary School were $1,600 with second grader Sidney Waterman and fourth grader John Heydt each raising $150.

From Pottstown School District Director of Community Relations John J. Armato:

Lincoln Elementary School students, under the direction of physical education instructor Jane Thompson, showed how big a heart they have by participating in the Jump Rope for the American Heart Association event.

Students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade used hula hoops, jump ropes, and climbing ropes as their way of supporting the American Heart Association.

The total fund-raising efforts for Lincoln Elementary School were $1,600 with second grader Sidney Waterman and fourth grader John Heydt each raising $150.

Mrs. Thompson was overjoyed with the participation by students.

“I am so excited that our students participated in healthy lifestyle activities while at the same time helping to contribute to a very worthy cause," she said.
