Police Reports: Possession with Intent to Deliver, DUI

Felony Drug Charge for Pottstown Man
A Pottstown man is facing a felony drug charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, stemming from an early October traffic accident in Gilbertsville.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, 18-year-old George Daywalt, of the 2200-block of Horseshoe Drive, was involved in a vehicle accident on October 11 along Swamp Pike. The report states that one of the arriving officers "detected a strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from one of the vehicles involved in the traffic accident.
Police questioned Daywalt regarding the odor, at which point Daywalt allegedly entered his vehicle to retrieve a large plastic baggie containing over 30 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe.
In addition to the felony drug charge, Daywalt also faces two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, which is a misdemeanor.
Gilbertsville Woman Charged with DUI
A 33-year-old Gilbertsville woman is facing charges of DUI, following an early morning traffic stop in Pennsburg.
According to a report by the state police, Kimberly Danweber, of Gilbertsville, was allegedly stopped for observed traffic violations at 12:16 a.m. on November 14. The report indicates that Danweber allegedly exhibited signs of being under the influence of alcohol, and failed to complete the standard field sobriety tests. She was then taken into custody and transported to Saint Luke's Hospital in Quakertown for a blood draw.
Charges will be filed for DUI and related traffic offenses pending the results of the blood test.
