Pottsgrove Student Killed in Accident on High Street
Reports identify the student as 16-year-old Tim Paciello.
A Pottsgrove student was killed on Monday night, after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of East High Street and Sunnyside Avenue in Lower Pottsgrove Township.
According to a report by Brandie Kessler at the Pottstown Mercury, the victim has been identified as 16-year-old Tim Paciello.
A press release from the Montgomery County District Attorney's office states that shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday night, Paciello was walking across High Street when he was struck by a vehicle while standing in the center left-turn-only lane. He was flown by medevac to Hahnemann Hospital, where he would later succumb to his injuries.
The release describes the driver of the striking vehicle as a 43-year-old woman from Collegeville, and states that she remained on scene and volunteered to give a blood sample for testing. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and will include an inspection of the striking vehicle, testing of the driver's blood, and a reconstruction of the accident.
The Superintendent of Pottsgrove High School was notified of the accident, and grief counselors are available for the students.
We will update this story as more information becomes available.

It said he was standing in the middle of the turn lane. If she came out from behind another vehicle to enter the turn lane, she may not have seen him standing there until it was too late.

How about learning how to spell Regina instead of being judgemental! Maybe you should tell others to stay off the streets at night where they might not be seen!!!

She was in a rush and didn't want to wait 5 sec for the car in front of her to finish making a right hand turn so she whipped around her and went into the turning lane which by the way is illegal!

I think they were both doing something illegal. He was crossing illegally and she made also an illegal turn. He should've walked a little longer to either traffic lights where all pedestrians should walk and she should've waited for that other person to turn. either way, I am truly sorry for Tim's family... no one deserves to die like that. Rest in peace Tim <3

Actually noone should ever make assumptions on anyone because it seems sterotypical. Just because he was a teen doesnt mean he was in the wrong. I am very good friends with his entire family and truth be told he was at a stop sign when a car let him pass. she came from behind that car because they were stopped and she didnt want to be and struck him, she was in fact under the influence and this is her 2nd time hitting and killing somebody. he was sober and young and lost his life tragically, so for those of you that make assumptions seriously rethink before you speak!

Btw isn't it funny how Robert sitter commented on this post when he was the one who was driving 70 plus miles per hour when he made a illegal move and hit and killed my sons best friend! Amazing I hope he rots in jail for a very very log time. I would feel different if it was truely a accident and if this wasn't his second time behind the wheel of a vehicle and killed a innocent person. He and his girlfriend deserve everything that is coming to them. Makes me sick to my stomach that this man was not only able to get a license again but was able to be back out on he road to kill again! SMH
