Pottstown Man Arrested for Robbing Uwchlan Bank
Marcus Ricketts, 35, allegedly stole $29,000 from an M&T Bank on Pottstown Pike in Uwchlan on Monday.
Police arrested a Pottstown man after he robbed a bank at gunpoint on Monday morning, according to a Times Herald report.
Marcus Ricketts, 35, allegedly entered an M&T Bank in the 700 block of North Pottstown Pike, Uwchlan, July 2 at 10:30 a.m., with a handgun and wearing a ski mask, gloves, sunglasses and a hat. He reportedly stole $29,000 cash.
Following the robbery, police saw a man matching the suspect's description running into a wooded area behind the bank toward Windsor, and later identified Ricketts driving a car away from Windsor Circle. Police searched Ricketts' vehicle and discovered a handgun, the stolen money and clothes witnesses described the thief had worn during the robbery.
Ricketts is charged with robbery, carrying a firearm without a license and related offenses. He is being held in Chester County Prison after he failed to post $50,000 bail.
