Breaking & Entering: June 3, 2011 - Officer Mike Breslin arrested James Everette. Breslin saw Everette, who had an active warrant, on the street and told him to stop. Everette ran up the porch of 321 South Street and was told by a female resident, Javone Graves, not to enter the house. Everette opened the door anyway and ran in. He was followed by the officer and extended his arms at the officer and came at him. Another officer, Corporal Boyce, helped bring down Everette, who was arrested for resisting arrest, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

Bar Fight: June 12, 2011 - Officer Mathew Green was called to Jack Cassidy's Irish bar, 990 East High Street, around 10 p.m. about a bar fight. The fight was started by Tonya Renee Phillips, 42, against Melanie McKnight. Bartender Patrick Wilfong separated Phillips, who bit him on the chest. Bystander Brian Renn broke up the fight and was scratched on the neck by Phillips. Meanwhile, McKnight sprayed Phillips in the eyes with pepper spray, reportedly in self-defense. Phillips was arrested and McKnight later contacted Green to say that she and McKnight have been having an ongoing disagreement because Phillips believes McKnight is having an affair with her boyfriend. McKnight said Phillips was following her and trying to assault her. Phillips was charged with simple assault, harrassment, and disorderly conduct.

Fugitive From Justice: June 13, 2011 - On the corner of West and Washington Streets, officer Gregory Fritz arrested Frank Langwig, 28, for a DUI. An investigation showed Langwig is a fugitive from justice and wanted by the U.S. military for desertion on a warrant dated January 26th, 2011.

Wawa Theft: June 13, 2011 - Sgt. Michael Ponto arrested Patrick Glenn, 46, for theft by deception. Glenn asked a Pottstown Wawa employee, Elizabeth Hughes, to lend him 40 dollars, saying that his wife was stuck in Stowe and he needed to get to her. Glenn gave Hughes his Pennsylvania identification card as collateral, but when Ponto headed to the address on Glenn's card, he found a family living there who said Glenn moved away a month ago. Police don't have a current address for Glenn.

Drug Bust: June 18, 2011 - Sgt. Michael Ponto followed a speeding black Ford pickup truck and eventually pulled the vehicle over. The passenger, Carlos Huszar, said he couldn't drive because he was drunk. The driver, Rory McGill, had a suspended license (DUI-related) but drove because Carlos was too drunk. Huszar had a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.18 and was found with cocaine in his mouth. McGill also failed a BAC test and showed all six indicaters of intoxication. He had what is suspected to be cocaine in his pocket, which will be confirmed at a laboratory. Huszar was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and public drunkenness. Charges will be filed against McGill after the lab results have been received.

Drug Transaction: June 19, 2011 - Officer Brandon Sheehan spotted suspicious activity between two individuals at the intersection of Oak and North Charlotte streets. Jesse Martinez, 21, was patted down by an officer and found with marijuana in a bag in his pocket. During the arrest, he ran away and was found outside in the stairwell of a basement. He was arrested at gunpoint and was also found with a cigar in his pocket. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Prostitution: June 20, 2011 - Sgt. Michael Ponto arrested Cherita Wilson, 26, in the area of North Charlotte and Chestnut streets for prostitution. Ponto dressed in plain clothes and drove an undercover police car when he picked up Wilson.

Open Container of Alcohol in Public: June 26, 2011 - Officer Jeffrey Portock arrested Shawn Jones, 36, at 7 Beech Street. Jones was reported to be drinking alcohol and possibly dealing drugs. He also didn't live at the apartment building at which he was drinking. He had an open bottle in a brown bag -- which was found to be 40 ounces of Malt Liquor -- and was arrested for possession of open containers/consumption in public.

Public Drunkenness: July 4, 2011 - Officer Michael Glauner arrested Timothy Woodruff, 49, during a fireworks show. Woodruff was stumbling and almost fell into a woman's children. He was unable to stand up on his own and was charged with public drunkenness.
