1. Why aren't other schools (like Wissahickon and Upper Dublin) listed as options?
2. The majority of people send their kids to the high school in the school district in which they live so how can this category be anything more than a popularity contest of Patch voters?

Lori and Laura:
The nomination period was open for more than a month, and the choices above reflect the schools that were submitted by Patch users throughout the Montgomery County region. If a certain school is not listed, it is due to the fact that no one nominated them during that period.

I vote for Plymouth Whitewash HS, my husband, children and Grandson graduated. I had the pleasure of revisiting the school as my grandson was class of 2012. Kudos to PWHS for the academic excellence and extra curricular activities, the achievements of the class of 2012 are many and this class set a high standard for the future graduating classes.

Abington! Outstanding teachers, knowledgeable and committed guidance department, hard-working and accomplished special education department, an administrative team that balances it all through professionalism and a genuine love of kids, and to top it off a nationally recognized service learning program that fosters an authentic sense of citizenship. The art, music, library and athletic programs at the high school are well-supported by the district and the school board. My husband and I are proud to be ASHS grads and our children will be, in a few "too-quick" years as well. Good luck, Go Ghosts!
