Taxpayers on Hook for Two Principals at Ringing Rocks
Reported agreement between the Pottsgrove School District and former Ringing Rocks Principal Michelle Bozzini leaves taxpayers responsible for two salaries but only one principal.
A reported agreement between Pottsgrove School District and former Ringing Rocks Principal Michelle Bozzini, who abruptly left her position in the middle of the year, will force taxpayers to pay two principals for the remainer of the school year.
According to the Pottstown Mercury, the 10-page agreement guarantees that Bozzini will continue to collect her $110,553 salary until the end of the school year. At the same time, the school district will be paying $500 per day to Bozzini's replacement.
Bozzini, whose abrupt departure has been shrouded by a confidentiality agreement, will also continue to receive health insurance and life insurance benefits, the report states.
Barbara Guy, a previously retired principal for Owen J. Roberts Elementary, will continue to serve as Bozzini's replacement until the end of the school year, at a salary of $500 per day, the report states. Additionally, the report states that Guy will not receive medical benefits or mileage reimbursements.
