Lack of sleep boosts stroke risk in people over 45, new study says

 

 

Don't lose any sleep over this but ...  healthy, normal-weight people may be at risk of stroke if they get less than six hours of sleep a night, according to a new study reported on by MSNBC.

Sleep is just as important as diet and exercise for people over 45, the study says.

Seven to nine hours is the recommended daily amount of sleep but most of us get less than that, says a recent government health report.
