Outshine Dance has top notch Professional Dance Instructors- this year we are doing something a bit different- we call it Dance for a Wish.....read on!

Wow! Summer is flying by.  Before we know it, school will be starting, the leaves will be turning and we will be starting another great year at Outshine Dance!

 As many of you already know,my name is Rachel Schrufer and I am the new Director of Dance.  We also have a new Assistant Director, Amanda Bedford.   Tami Amanda and I recently had a brainstorming session to come up with a theme for the recital in June of 2013.

 The economy is rough.  Families are struggling everywhere.  Unemployment is up and prices keep rising.  There are so many people in need, which brought us to the conclusion for our recital theme:  Pay it Forward.

 This year, we would like to choose a local medically challenged child and sponsor that child through our recital.  For this, we need your help!

 If you know of any local child who is struggling with a terminal or chronic illness, please let us know.  Outshine wants to help, even in a small way.

 Part of our proceeds from the recital will to go to that child and his/her family. We have more great ideas though, so that's just the beginning. We would like to sponsor a Dance a Thon with all proceeds benefitting this family as well as making Holiday Cards, ornaments, etc  All of these extra events will not cost Outshine Families anything more than time.  We all think this will be a great learning experience for our students in one of the greatest human attributes:  compassion.

We hope to get feedback from all of you- we are open to suggestions and ideas, and mostly we thank you for being a part of dance with a twist!
