Broadway Cabaret Kicks of Steel River Season - FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY!
Think you have to go to New York to hear the best that Broadway has to offer? Save the trip, save some money, and SAVE THE DATE as Steel River Playhouse presents Philadelphia’s acclaimed Lyric Fest in a BROADWAY CABARET for ONE NIGHT ONLY, Saturday September 14th! Together with local favorite Maggie Heffner Riker, this intimate concert experience will be a special evening, complete with a pre-show wine and cheese, and an intermission dessert buffet.
The cabaret features all your Broadway favorites from The Great American Songbook and beyond. Songs of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Edith Piaf, Stephen Sondheim, and more. Singers Maggie Heffner Riker, Suzanne DuPlantis, and Randi Marrazzo, will be accompanied at the piano and bass by the incomparable Harold Evans and Emilio Gravagno. The evening starts with a wine and cheese reception at 7:30 pm, and then moves to our intimate concert space at 8:00 pm where we’ll share the speakeasy songs of bygone days. With chestnuts and little known gems. You’ll laugh, cry, and marvel at the talent to be found right in our region.
But that’s not all – at intermission you’ll be treated to a dessert and coffee buffet, followed by more wonderful Broadway classics. You’ll leave the concert hall with the warm glow of familiar tunes, along with memories old and new - a great evening out for only $29!
