Food Festival Rolls into Phoenixville Saturday

It's a food-lover's dream come true and it all starts Saturday on Bridge Street.

Written by Bob Byrne

Phoenixville's first-ever Food Festival rolls into Bridge Street on Saturday from 12noon-6 p.m. with a food truck festival.

The food trucks will be parked all along Bridge Street so free parking will be offered in Borough lots and on other adjoining streets. The Food Truck Festival is the kick-off event for a restaurant week in Phoenixville that will run from Sunday through Thursday next week.

That's not all that's going on Saturday

Also on October 5th, the downtown will host two additional events, TEDx at the Colonial Theatre and a Pub Crawl with participating bars.

According to an Event posting on Phoenixville Patch:

How the Food Truck Festival works:

Bridge Street will not be closed to traffic, but Main Street will be closed between Church and Bridge Streets for a vending space. The trucks will line Bridge as well, but will be facing the sidewalk. While there will be no parking on Bridge Street or Main Street (between Church and Bridge), we plan to create a detailed parking map so that residents, businesses and guests can prepare for the event. We plan to have more than 10 food trucks, and will also use Main Street as a the additional vending space, and will have seating and music in the Main and Bridge Parking Lot.

Food Trucks participating to date include:
