What's Open and What's Closed on Columbus Day in Pottstown?

Columbus Day is Monday, Oct. 14.

Government: the Pottstown Borough Hall, as well as the Montgomery County government offices, will be closed.

Libraries: the Pottstown Regional Public Library will be open.

Schools: The Pottstown School District will be open.

Trash/Recycling/Yard Waste: the areas of Pottstown whose trash and recycling are picked up on Mondays will still receive that service.

PennDOT Drivers License Centers: PennDOT centers will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Monday, Oct. 14 for Columbus Day.

Banks: Columbus Day is a bank holiday.

Mail: USPS will not deliver mail on Monday, Oct. 14. UPS and FedEx will still deliver.

PART: PART will operate on its regular schedule.

SEPTA: SEPTA will run on the regular weekday schedule for all services.

Liquor Stores: According to the PA Liquor Control Board website, most Wine & Spirits stores will be open for their regular Monday hours. However, some will have alternate holiday hours or be closed. Call ahead before heading out.

Zoos: The Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, is open 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Philadelphia Zoo is open 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.,
