Brewing beers of various strengths was often part of the colonial housewife’s responsibilities. Her aim was to produce healthful, palatable drinks to suit the size and needs of her family.

In Saturday's program, food historian Clarissa F. Dillon will demonstrate home-brewing using authentic 18th century beer recipes.
