Pottsgrove Community Band To Begin Spring Season

The band is sponsored by the Pottsgrove Recreation Board and has existed since 1959.

 

The Pottsgrove Community Band will perform at a spring concert at 7 p.m. May 21 in the auditorium. 

The band’s current director is Rod Boyer.  The band’s founder and Director Emeritus is Tom Roberts.

The musicians, including some of the original players from 1959, range in age from the teens to the eighties, and they are all volunteers who rehearse one evening per week.  They perform at assisted living centers and various parks in the surrounding area.

Monday, June 4  Sanatoga Court, Evergreen Road

Monday, June 11  Zion’s Church lawn, Hanover Street

Monday, June 18  Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown

Monday, July 9  Sanatoga Ridge, Berean Church

Monday, July 16  Walnut Woods, Boyertown
