Backdoor Book Sale Perfect for Pottstown Bibliophiles

The Pottstown Friends of the Library backdoor book sale will be held Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15 and 16.

Mark your calendars! The Pottstown Friends of the Library will hold the backdoor book sale on Friday, Feb. 15 and Saturday, Feb. 16.

The backdoor book sales are held in the library's basement, with entrance in the rear of the library.

The book sale, which is held four times a year, approximately every three months, will have a large variety of books with something for everyone. Marie Devine, a member of the Pottstown Friends of the Library, said there will be books on science, art, business, computers, cookbooks, and a very large selection of fiction books.

During the sale, hard bound and trade paperback books are $1 each, regular paperbacks are $.50. However, all day on Saturday, the Friends of the Library will be offering a Bag of Books sale, with plastic grocery bags being sold for $5 and paper grocery bags for $10, and fill as full as you wish.

Won't make the book sale? The Pottstown Friends of the Library sells books in the Book Nook year round. The books sold in the Book Nook are recent books, published within the last four years.

Book donations are accepted throughout the year from the public for the book sales and the Book Nook, except for the week before a book sale.

Devine said the book sales are very successful and you'll never know what you'll find at a book sale.
