Chestnut Knoll At Home to hold “Me & My Parents” Discussion

Chestnut Knoll At Home invites you to join us for an educational series to help you plan for your future and your parents' future with the "Me & My Parents" series.

As your parents age, are you finding family roles are changing and you are in the position of making decisions regarding your parents lives? Chestnut Knoll At Home invites you to join us for an educational series to help you plan for your future and your parents’ future. The “Me & My Parents” series will be held Thursday, October 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust Conference Center building, located at 564 Nutt Rd., Phoenixville, PA 19460.

The Me & My Parents series is an educational and interactive forum, designed to get adult children and their parents talking and thinking about how to be prepared for the future and how to communicate. The panel will consist of three local experts who specialize in the fields of legal issues, financial issues, and housing and service options in retirement and communicating these decisions.

The expert panel for the forum on October 25 includes Elizabeth Snyder, Medicare Insurance Expert; Kathy Martin, esquire, Elder Law Attorney; and Lynn Chialastri, Registered Nurse and Director of Health and Wellness at Shannondell at Valley Forge.

Each panelist will give an overview of their area of expertise and allow time for participants to ask the experts their specific questions. The topics include Medicare and insurance; preparing critical legal documents, such as Power of Attorney and Living Wills; and senior living options. Audience participation and questions are encouraged.

Me & My Parents will have a different panel for every meeting. The meetings are free and open to the public; complimentary snacks and take-away materials are provided. Please register by contacting Susan Knoble, community relations and marketing at Chestnut Knoll At Home, Phoenixville, by phone at 610-933-0660.
