Lane Closures Scheduled for Route 422 Throughout March

Motorists are urged to allow extra time for their commute as traffic disruptions are expected throughout the month of March.

Commuters who travel on Route 422 can expect frequent traffic delays throughout the month of March, as PennDOT continues their $73.3 million project to rebuild and improve the 1.6-mile stretch of highway between Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry.

Lane restrictions and intermittent traffic stoppages have been scheduled between the Sanatoga and Stowe interchanges, including:

  • Lane restriction - Route 422 eastbound will have one lane closed between the Route 724 and Sanatoga interchanges from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., March 1 through March 29.
  • Lane restriction - Route 422 westbound will have one lane closed between the Sanatoga and Route 724 interchanges from 7 p.m. to 1 p.m., March 1 through March 29.

In a press release, PennDOT urges motorists to allow extra time for their commute due to expected delays in the area. Additionally, motorists can either visit www.511pa.com or call 511 to check traffic conditions.
