TCN to Hold 'Landlords Breakfast'

The Tri-County Community Network will hold an event that aims to inform local landlords about services and support agencies that can help keep tenants in place.

The Tri-County Community Network will host a "Landlords Breakfast" on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Zion United Church of Christ in Pottstown.

The goal of the event is to provide local landlords with information about services, potential partnerships and support agencies that can help them keep their tenants in place.

Speakers at the event include:

  • Judge Thomas Palladino, who will discuss how landlords can avoid the eviction process.
  • Lynda Haley, from the Montgomery County Housing Authority, who will discuss potential partnerships with the MCHA.
  • Debra Campbell and Brian Tate, both local landlords, who will speak of their success with housing special needs tenants.
  • Russell Johnson, from the North Penn Community Health Foundation, who will discuss the link between maintaining health and housing.

The event is free to anyone who wishes to attend, including breakfast. You can register for the event by clicking here, or by calling 610-705-3301.

I am really truly surprised to find Deb and Doug Campbell are still enabled, by the county and local government, to run any kind of rental business in Pottstown or Norristown - anywhere in PA for that matter. They are either extremely irresponsible investors or they are 'sly like a fox'. After defaulting on school/municipal taxes and liens on over $2,000,000 worth of properties, last year, I think they've pounded the schools and the taxpayers in these communities and enough is enough. They can and should be denied rental licenses based on the status of their liens that remain open on properties in both communities. http://webapp.montcopa.org/PSI/Viewer/Search.aspx?c=CaseSearch&panel=CaseParties

FYI to all landlords. Do NOT attend this event. You will be singled out by activists who will be in the audience and discussed negatively on Pottstown blogs. Only attend events held by landlords where the attendance is restricted to landlords.

Listen, we've already had to put all comments and additions to this site on moderate because of this never-ending, landlord bashing, "who is the real Golden Cockroach" nonsense. We took the site off moderation earlier this week, and here we are again. If you cannot act like adults, and treat each other with a basic amount of respect and human decency, we'll have to permanently place the site on moderation.
