SUMMER CAMPS at STEEL RIVER PLAYHOUSE

STEEL RIVER PLAYHOUSE SUMMER CAMPS

SESSION 1: July 7-18
SESSION 2: July 21- August 1
SESSION 3: August 4-15

LOWER CAMP (entering grades 1-4)

M-F 9am-12 noon (half-day) $229 OR 9am-4pm (full-day) $449

In the morning, students will focus on skill-building in music, movement, and acting in a creative and playful environment. Enroll for the full day and get the learn-by-doing experience with a performance-based approach as the kids work collaboratively to create a play. Lower Camp runs during each session with presentations on the final Friday afternoon of the session.

UPPER CAMP (entering grades 5-12)

M-F 9am-4pm $449

Half of the day will be spent developing skills in various areas of performance which will then be applied during the rehearsal process. Final performances will be drawn from Broadway’s hottest titles, to be enjoyed by family, friends and the public on the final Friday and Saturday of each camp session.

Musical Theatre Camp – Sessions 1&2
The first 2 sessions of camp will each focus on the musical theatre experience with instruction in acting, music and dance.

Acting Camp – Session 3
In addition to our always strong musical theatre instruction, this year’s camps will introduce an acting focused session featuring exciting new specialized training in on-camera acting and comedic improvisation.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE our staff will also provide extra hours of camp, prior to the start of our morning session (8-9am), and at afternoon’s end (4-6pm), to help parents negotiate their busy day. Sign up for the entire 2-week session or a la carte only on the days needed!

MID-DAY OPEN MIC during lunches gives students the opportunity to showcase their own work, experiment with a new song or monologue, or collaborate on a piece with friends!
