AND ALL THAT JAZZ
When it comes to exciting entertainment, the Pottstown High School Jazz Band, under the direction of Mr. Michael Vought, is “all that jazz.” Their recent success at the Pottsgrove Jazz Festival shows that when it comes to talent the judges know a good thing when they hear it. Competing with jazz bands from Springfield, Spring-Ford, Hatboro-Horsham, Penn Wood and Boyertown, the Trojans received a rating of “Outstanding.”
The “Trumpet Section” of Brandon Wilson, John Johnson, Chloe Francis, and Austin Scavello were awarded the “Best Trumpet Section” of the competition.
Showing their individual talents, Sherif Mohamed, a trombone player, received the “Outstanding Soloist Award” closely followed by tenor sax player Marley Bryan who was recognized with the “Honorable Mention Soloist Award.”
