The Pottstown High School Trojan Marching Band completed its fall competition season by taking part in the Daniel Boone/Exeter Tournament of Bands Show.  The Color Guard, under the direction of Mrs. Nancy Mest, earned the High Auxiliary Trophy in Class 3A Competition.  The theme of this year’s show was “Fright Night.”  The color guard dressed up in creative costumes and performed using props designed by the art students at Pottstown High School under the direction of Department Chair Mrs. Beth Yoder.

Mrs. Mest pointed out, “I’m extremely proud of this year’s color guard for showing the type of dedication and discipline that is necessary to be able to put together a highly precise program while at the same time displaying a sense of artistic style.”

Art Director Mrs. Yoder shared the pride of the Pottstown band pointed out, “This was a tremendous team effort on the part of students in different programs throughout our school.  Being able to have our art students play a role in the success of our music department speaks to the high degree of emphasis that we place on partnership and collaborative efforts.”
