Pottstown High School Supports Sandy Hook Elementary Students and Staff

POTTSTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT

On December 19th, 2012, Pottstown High School demonstrated their support of the victims of the Sandy Hook elementary tragedy by wearing green and white instead of the normal student uniform.  Students requested to wear these colors because they were the official colors of the Sandy Hook elementary school and as a way to honor all those we lost.  "As principal, I was so happy to see almost 100% participation in the event.  And students did not stop there.  Several classes are sending sympathy cards and our art class is sending a large supply of student created 'snowflakes' to decorate the temporary space being set up for the students of Sandy Hook.  I could not be prouder of the support they've shown."

PHS will join the rest of the country in sharing a collective moment of silence on Friday, 12-21-12 at 9:30 am.                                                              Stephen Rodriguez Pottstown High School Principal
