Doris (Miller) McTavish, 92, Loved to Knit and Play Cards at Willow Run

Doris (Miller) McTavish, 92, was a resident at Manatawny Manor in Pottstown. She was born in Norristown and a long time resident of Royersford.

Doris (Miller) McTavish, 92,  widow of the late William H. McTavish, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Manatawny Manor, Pottstown, PA.  Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Horace K. and Bertha (Ash) Miller.

Mrs. McTavish was a longtime Royersford resident before spending 12 years at The Village of  Willow Run in Limerick, Pa  and the last year at Manatawny Manor.  She was a member of Royersford United Methodist Church.  She loved to knit, garden, bake and cook, and play cards while at Willow Run.

Mrs. McTavish is survived by her children, Gail, wife of Leonard Perrone, of St. Marys, Georgia, Robert J., husband of Gretchen McTavish, of Pottstown, and William J., husband of Debbie McTavish, of Parker Ford; and grandchildren Vincent Perrone, Marc McTavish, Benjamin Perrone and wife Meredith, Kate McTavish, John McTavish and wife Tanya, Jamie Barnhill and husband Ryan and Ashley Miller; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Miller and infant granddaughter Megan Ann McTavish.

A viewing and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  A memorial service will be held at Royersford United Methodist Church, Fourth Avenue and Church Street, on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 10am.  Officiating will be the Rev. Zabdiel Y. Khan.  Friends will be received from 9:30 - 10am at the Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Royersford United Methodist Church, 380 Church Street, Royersford, PA 19468 or to Caring Hospice Services, 400 Commerce Drive, Suite C, Fort Washington, PA 19034.  Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home.  Condolences may be offered online at www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.
