A Man is Alleged To Have Tried To Rob National Penn Bank in Pottstown

The suspect was allegedly a white man in his 30s, who wore a brown sweatshirt, per Montgomery County Emergency Dispatch.

A man is alleged to have attempted to rob the National Penn Bank establishment at High Street and Franklin Street in Pottstown on Friday afternoon, according to The Mercury.

After the suspect supposedly retreated down Franklin Street, about 10 police officers arrived at the bank at approximately 3:45 p.m., where they interviewed employees and witnesses inside the building and out.

The suspect was allegedly a white man who was in his 30s, and who wore a brown sweatshirt, per Montgomery County Emergency Dispatch.  Police think that the sweatshirt might have borne a logo on the back. The suspect has been described as being weighty, and being of a height of five feet and eight inches to five feet ten inches.
