Body Discovered Below Pottstown Bridge
Police are withholding the man's identification, pending notification of his family.
The body of a 48-year-old male was discovered this morning along the railroad tracks beneath South Charlotte Street.
According to a report by the Pottstown Mercury, police responded to call from Norfolk Southern shortly before 1:30 a.m. The report states that railroad workers discovered the body "half-sitting with his back against the wall under the bridge."
Police are withholding the man's identification, pending notification of his family. Though there is no evidence of foul play, the body is currently being examined by the coroner's office, according to the Mercury's report.
