Child Rapist Sentenced
Michael Houck pleaded guilty to raping a preteen girl in Pottstown in 2009 and 2010.
A former Pottstown man will spend a minimum of 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to raping a preteen girl in Pottstown in 2009 and 2010.
The Mercury reports that 43-year-old Michael Houck was declared a sexually violent predator under Pennsylvania's "Megan's Law" and will have to complete 20 years of probation after he's paroled or released.
The victim told authorities that Houck threatened her with unspecified consequences if she told others about his sexual assaults on her. The victim allegedly told investigators Houck would "reward" her, sometimes with gifts, if she allowed him to have sexual intercourse with her.
