A Pottstown woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a crash on westbound U.S. Route 422 in Limerick Township Saturday night, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Beatrice Calabretta, 55, of Pottstown, was traveling westbound in a 2002 Nissan Sentra around 10:20 p.m. near mile marker 180 when her vehicle allegedly ran off the right side of the roadway and struck the rear of a 2005 Dodge Caravan that was stopped in the right lane due to engine problems.

Both units were severely damaged; Calabretta was taken to Reading Hospital for injuries, and was then taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, police said. The 39-year-old female owner of the Caravan was not reported to be injured.
