Duo Arrested for Allegedly Stealing TV from Walmart

Following a brief foot pursuit, police were able to capture two men who allegedly stole a 42-inch television from the Pottstown Walmart.

Two men who allegedly tried to steal a 42-inch television from Walmart were apprehended by the Pottstown Police following a brief foot pursuit on December 30.

According to a report by the Pottstown Mercury, the television was stolen from Walmart during the snowstorm on Saturday afternoon by two men who were seen entering a gold Cadillac sedan. The report states that police pursued the vehicle until they were able to box-in the sedan on North Hanover Street, at which point the suspects fled on foot before being apprehended a short time later.

The names of the two men have not been released, as the investigation is ongoing, but the Mercury reports that police believe the men may be connected to similar thefts throughout the area.
