Four Teens Charged With Assault and Robbery, Police Say

Four Pottstown teens were charged after allegedly assaulting a boy walking through the borough, say police.

After allegedly assaulting a boy who was walking close to the area of Evans Street and Beech Street in Pottstown one evening, four Pottstown teens were charged with felony robbery, according to The Mercury.

On the evening of Sept. 27, five teens aged 13 to 14 divided themselves into two groups, where one half allegedly pursued the victim and the other half allegedly prevented the boy from escaping.

After finding out that the boy did not have money, the teens are alleged to have physically and verbally abused him.

Law enforcement charged the four suspects with simple assault, felony robbery and conspiracy, according to police. Police seek the fifth suspect, who is still at large.
