Lower Pottsgrove Noise Complaint Leads to Drug Arrest

Wanted Philadelphia man found in local apartment.

Sometimes, as they say, "silence is golden."

On Monday, Jan. 14, the Lower Pottsgrove Township Police were dispatched to 2120 Buchert Road, Apartment 115 in the Rolling Hills apartment complex for reports of a noise complaint.

According to a report in the Sanatoga Post, the visit led the arrest of Ahmad Lateef, 23, of Philadelphia on an active drug warrant outstanding in the city. Lateef was found at the scene at 10:52 p.m. Monday in the apartment that proved to be the source of the noise complaint.

"Officer James McCue said police had been dispatched to the apartment following a call about a disturbance there," said the article in the Post. "During his investigation of the incident, McCue discovered Lateef was wanted in Philadelphia. He was taken into custody and housed in the Pottstown Police Department lock-up, McCue said, until he could be picked up by Philadelphia Police."
