Man Charged in Christmas Eve Theft from Dollar General
A 51-year-old Pottstown man was arrested after allegedly stealing $49 in merchandise from a Dollar General store on Christmas Eve.
A Pottstown man is facing charges after he allegedly stole $49 in merchandise during a Christmas Eve heist from the Dollar General store in the North End Shopping Center.
According to a report in the Sanatoga Post, a Lower Pottsgrove Police officer was carrying out a security check of businesses within the shopping center, when employees from Dollar General alerted police to a theft that had just occurred. Police located the suspect, and after a brief foot pursuit, apprehended 51-year-old Vonceil Daniels, who was hinding behind a building across the street.

Daniels was arrested and issued a citation for retail theft. He was later released, according to the report.
