Ambler Borough Police said a Dresher man allegedly tried to run over a woman in the parking lot of the Ambler Train Station on Aug. 4.

Police said DUI charges are pending against Frank Toner, 22, of the 1000 block of Wellsey Road, who was allegedly behind the wheel at 8:25 p.m.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the unit block of S. Main Street, where they found the alleged victim, police said.

Officers found Toner nearby, and smelled alcohol on him during the investigation, police said. Police said Toner had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unbalanced on his feet. Toner also allegedly failed all three field sobriety tests, police said.

Toner was taken into custody and taken to Upper Dublin Police Department for a breath test and to be processed, police said.

Toner was then taken to Ambler Borough Police Department, where he was released to a family member, police said.
