Police Seek Credit Card Fraud Suspect

The suspect has used cloned credit cards to purchase gift cards at various Walgreens locations in Bucks, Delaware, Philadelphia and Montgomery counties

Towamencin Township Police are working on a joint investigation with the Pennsylvania State Police to identify a man authorities say is responsible for credit card fraud and other theft-related offenses in four Pennsylvania counties.

Police said the man used cloned credit cards to purchase gift cards during the second week in January 2013.

The man used the cloned cards at Walgreens stores in Flourtown, Drexel Hill and the Feasterville-Trevose area, police said.

Police said the suspect also used a cloned credit card with the Philadelphia Parking Authority on M Street in Philadelphia on Jan. 10, 2013.

The suspect was captured on video in one incident wearing a Billionaire Boys Club varsity jacket with white sleeves and the Roman numerals MMXIII (2013) on the back, police said.

Employees of Walgreens and other pharmacy retail locations are encouraged to be vigilant for the suspect and report suspicious activity to police, police said, which includes the use of multiple credit cards.

Call Towamencin Township Police at 215-368-7606 or the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop K in Skippack at 610-584-1250 with any information on the suspect’s identity.

Another fraud everyone should be aware of is the Amway Tool Scam. Google "Stop The Amway Tool Scam Wordpress" for more information, and forward this information to every non-Distributor/IBO you know, so they don't get ripped off.

This guy was the customer in front of me last week at the King of Prussia Walgreens, he attempted to buy about $700 in american express gift cards with a few different credit cards that were declined. The associate called the manager up to void the sales to try different credit cards, but after a few didn't work, he said he'd be right back and left the premises. I said to the manager "you know he was using fake credit cards right"? I used to be in retail and a tell-tale sign is when someone comes in and buys a large quantity of dollar amount general gift cards.
