Pottstown Man Identified as Worcester Vehicle Crash Victim

Charles Cicala of Pottstown was recently identified as the man who died due to a Worcester crash on Oct. 2, according to state police.

The Pottstown man who died as a result of a car crash around Windy Hill Road and Germantown Pike in Worcester on Oct. 2 has been identified as 54-year-old Charles Cicala, according to The Mercury.

It started when Cicala had been driving in Worcester on Germantown Pike westward, drawing closer to an intersection with Windy Hill Road, when a freightliner truck traveling eastward on Germantown Pike passed Windy Hill Road, said state police.

According to police, Cicala could not control his vehicle and it veered to the other side of the road, hitting the truck in front.

Cicala was extracted from his vehicle and taken to Paoli Memorial Hospital. He died from his crash injuries.

State police are still investigating the incident. They ask that anyone who may have information about the crash should contact the Pennsylvania State Police at 610-584-1250.
