William Clarence Foster Jr., 34, of York Street in Pottstown, was arrested June 16, after allegedly choking his wife and punching his son in the throat after being thrown out for having drug paraphernalia in the house.
According to the Pottstown Mercury, Foster's wife discovered drug paraphernalia in the house on June 15, and threw Foster out, who returned the next day and engaged in a verbal argument with his wife.
Reports filed by Pottstown Police indicate the argument escalated, with Foster allegedly choking his wife nearly to unconsciousness, when Foster's teenage son attempted to intervene by hitting his father with a chair. Foster retaliated by chasing his son upstairs and punching him in the throat.
When police arrived, Foster allegedly fled out of the backyard. He was arrested later that day. He is being charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and summary charges of harassment.
Foster is being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post $250,000 cash bail.
