Truck Knocks Down Traffic Light, Driver Flees Scene

King Street shut down between Penn and North Charlotte Streets due to downed traffic light.

Officials are investigating a Tuesday morning traffic incident in Pottstown, where truck knocked over a traffic light and then fled the scene.

According to the Pottstown Mercury, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Charlotte Street and King Street in Pottstown. The report states that King Street was closed between Penn Street and North Charlotte Street as crews worked to remove the downed traffic light.
