If you haven't yet gotten your immunization for this winter's flu season, Friday is your last chance to do it for free.
The Montgomery County Health Department will hold a free flu clinic from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Sunnybrook Ballroom in Lower Pottsgrove, just off E. High Street (Ridge Pike) near Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Though young children and the elderly are most at risk, the Centers for Disease Control recommends that everyone six months or older get a flu shot. Residents who are Medicare eligible should bring their Medicare card. If you are allergic to eggs or have previously had an adverse reaction to a flu vaccine, consult with your physician before attending tomorrow's clinic.
If you're unable to make it to tomorrow's clinic, low cost flu shots will remain available through a number of local pharmacy and retail chains. Consult each store's website for schedule and pricing information.
