Lower Pottsgove Commissioners Looking for Alternative to Current Leaf Collection

Arborganics Acres, which accepted limited yard and leaf wasted from Lower Pottsgrove residents as a free local resource, has notified the Board of Commissioners that by year's end it will no longer be able to offer the free service, according to the Sanatoga Post.

However, during budgeting for the current year, the commissioners "cut money they would have budgeted during the current year to pay the township’s contracted waste hauler, J.P. Mascaro and Sons of Audubon, for similar services, and reduced to six the number of Mascaro’s annual leaf waste runs."

Commissioners have asked the township staff to provide a list of alternatives.
