Montgomery county has launched its new mobile phone app called GoMontco, which is free and optimized for Android and iOS devices, according to a release from the county.

The app connects directly to Montgomery county’s recent award-winning website to synch the two and provide updated information. App users can access the more popular modules such as News, Parks & Trails, Calendar, FAQs, Jobs, and more.

The app also gives users direct links to the county’s social media sits, such as YouTube and Facebook.

“This is just another step to make the county more accessible to our constituents,” said Josh Shapiro, the chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. “Information is now literally at the fingertips of our citizens while on their smart phones.”
