Manatawny Creek Report

Went out yesterday on a beautiful Saturday with a few friends to fish a section of the Manatawny Creek. We started from Memorial Park bridge and walked all the way to Grosstown Bridge in West Pottsgrove and back to our starting point.Fish that I can report is that the creek holds an abdundance of Panfish. Bluegill,  Sunfish, rockbass to small mouth bass. Even though we have spotted carp and catfish along our trek. We were after trout, but unfortunately we did not spot any or catch any. Though the bridge at Memorial Park do indeed still have trout lingering around.

For bait I suggest using Leland's Lure Trout Magnet. That is what we used and we in total caught over 100 panfish (catch and release that is) everytime the magnets hit the water is was fish on the line with every cast.

Fish do exist in Manatawny Creek you just have to work a little bit harder for them.

Remember you need a valid Pennsylvania Fishing license if 16 or older. Panfish harvest is 50 combine species. Catch and release has no limitations.
