Pottstown High Seniors Recognized by School Board

Pottstown High School seniors Nathan Fuerman and Trent Kancianic were recognized for honors they had received outside of the school district.

Two Pottstown High School students were recognized at the Monday night Pottstown School District school board meeting, one for receiving the Union League Good Citizen Award, and the other for being deemed a Commendable Student by the National Merit Corporation.

The high school principal Jeffrey Hartmann announced the recognition as school board president Judyth Zahora and superintendent Jeffrey Sparagana stood with the students, senior Nathan Fuerman and his fellow senior Trent Kancianic, holding plaques given to them.

Fuerman received the Good Citizen Award. Hartmann read from the Union League website, stating that the award had been presented to young women and men since 1946, celebrating a good attitude and a resolution to help uphold the best of “the American way of life.” According to Hartmann, Fuerman is an Eagle Scout and assists the Satatoga Volunteer Fire Company.
