The Hill School Wrestling Champ Dies

Max Pearson died on Dec. 20.

 

University of Michigan announced Wednesday the passing of Max Pearson, a three-time Big Ten wrestling champ and two-time NCAA finalist for the Wolverines in the 1950s. Pearson passed away on Dec. 20, 2011 in Dallastown, Pa. from complications from Alzheimer's disease. He was 78.

Born September 3, 1933, in Washington, D.C., Maxwell Pearson launched his wrestling career at The Hill School in Pottstown, Pa., where he won two National Prep School Wrestling Championships.
