Texas Primary: 91 Percent Vote YES to Repeal Obamacare

What people vote for when listed on the ballot. People speak for fiscal responsibility, limited government, get out of my healthcare.

Looking at the results from yesterday's Texas Primary, the Tea Party is alive and well.  Here are just a few of the propositions and the overwhelming results:

91 percent vote YES to Repealing 'Obamacare'.

94 percent vote YES to Balanced Budget.

91 percent vote YES to Public Prayer.

Now I know...Progressives and liberals will say "eh...it's Texas, what do you expect?"  But let me remind you Texas, a red state, has one of the lowest unemployments in the country (6.9%).  California, one of the most liberal states is among the highest (10.9%).  So do you think maybe the people of Texas know what it takes to create jobs?

I know..."But Tom, you can't make the connection to those election results to jobs in Texas."  You're right.  But it shows the mindset of the people of Texas.  Fiscal responsibility, Government out of healthcare, limited government, less dependency - a growing consensus of many Americans.  Remember the 2010 mid-terms?

I know..."But Tom, this 'local' Patch?  Why talk about this here?"  Two reasons.  One, I just wanted to.  Second, because maybe the locals in Pottstown gov't will understand and make the connection to fiscal responsibility and what people want.  Because it is NOT just Texas.  Remember the 2010 mid-terms?

Any Progressives have a constructive comment?  I urge you to chime in on the discussion.  My Twitter feed has several thousand followers, many of which are Texans.  I'm sure they'd love to hear your thoughts.

Well the people have spoken! The question is do the politicians really care??? I doubt it!! We the people need to take our country back from these socialists who care more about their power than the people they are supposed to represent.

Basic things like honesty affect economic viability. How can a civilization survive when its citizens are preoccupied with picking each other's pockets, which is wealth redistribution. Basic things like fudging the numbers to soften the appearance of our recession/depression speaks to dishonesty. Lies corrupt and suffocate, truth prospers. Simple concepts, gee I wonder why America was once prosperous and is now suffering, could it all come down to living by the ten commandments that liberals so crave to remove?

Did all states vote on these 3 propositions? I was surprised to see them on my ballot - but I am in the majority vote.
