Fiery Crash on Route 100 Kills One, Injures Another

Devon T. Rosenberger, 26, of Gilbertsville, was pronounced dead at the scene of Tuesday morning's accident on Route 100 in Washington Township.

A Gilbertsville man was killed in a fiery crash Tuesday morning, after his vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a pickup truck along Route 100 in Washington Township, Berks County. According to a report in the Reading Eagle, Devon T. Rosenberger, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene, after the initial collision caused his vehicle to burst into flames while he was still trapped inside. The report states that first responders were unable to free Rosenberger from the vehicle, but officials later stated they believed he was killed during the head-on impact. The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on Route 100, between East Chestnut Street and Stauffer Road in Washington Township, according to the Morning Call. …
