Law enforcement continues to investigate the death of Natalie Marella, whose body was found in a cornfield in New Hanover Township in August of last year.
Investigators still aren't certain how an Ambler woman died last year and are asking the public for help. They want to know who Natalie Marella was with in the hours before her body was discovered near a cornfield in New Hanover Township on Aug. 29, 2012. While the investigation continues into the death of the 26-year-old Marella, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office has announced the findings of the investigation into her cause of death. The Montgomery County Coroner determined that a seizure disorder caused Marella's death, according to a press release. Natalie Elizabeth Marella passed away at the age of 26. She was born March 4, 1986 the daughter of Robert Marella and Marion (nee deVecchis) and sister to her loving “Bro” Dustin. A resident of Ambler, Natalie loved life and the many friends and family she surrounded herself with. Services were Thursday September 6, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church Ambler, 4 South Ridge Ave, Ambler PA 19002. Natalie Marella’s family is speaking about her death and the police investigation that began when her body was found Aug. 29 in a New Hanover Field. “I would like to clear up some rumors regarding Natalie’s situation,” Marella’s mother, Marion Devicchis Marellla, posted on Natalie’s Facebook page. “We do not know anything as of yet. Around 6 p.m. Thursday evening, a body was found hanging near the Poor Richard's Historic Hereford Hotel, according to a report in the Pottstown Mercury. The white male has not been identified, but police say it is not connected to the Natalie Marella case. “It does not appear they would be connected,” Trooper David Beohm, the public information officer at the Reading barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police, said to the Mercury. “I do not know the circumstances (of the New Hanover incident). Loved ones are grieving the death of Natalie Marella, whose body was found in a New Hanover field on the morning of Aug. 29. The body that was discovered Wednesday along a cornfield in New Hanover has been identified as 26-year-old Natalie Marella, of Ambler, according to a press release from the Montgomery County District Attorney's office. New Hanover Police initially responded to a report on Monday morning that a local farmer had discovered the body of a white woman at 2471 Little Road, near the intersection of Renninger Road. An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday evening, but the cause and manner of death remain undertermined pending the results of toxicology testing. Raymond Marc Zachry was found unresponsive by a neighbor in Souderton, Pa- when police arrived (within four minutes) Zachry "had no pulse and was cool to the touch".
