The second-annual Pottstown Iron Horse Show will feature ‘Philadelphia’s Classic Rock Station’ 102.9MGK.
The Iron Horse Show is coming to Pottstown and will feature a day of classic rock and unique motorcycles. The Iron Horse Show, an event for motorcycle enthusiasts, will be going into its second year. The event will take place June 8, and is expected to last from 11a.m. to 7 p.m. along the 200 block of High Street in Pottstown. According to www.downtownpottstown.org, the Iron Horse Show is a family-friendly event, and will include various vendors, show bikes, food from local restaurants. Removing snow from High Street after a significant snowfall -- five inches or more -- is difficult and expensive when vehicles remain on the street or are trapped in their parking place as the result of snowfall amounts. Ideally, vehicles would be moved from High Street to off-street parking facilities before the arrival of a major snow storm in Pottstown and thus allow for the rapid removal of snow so as to allow the downtown area and the businesses that operate there to return to normal as quickly and simply as possible. A viable solution to this problem is through the emergency utilization of municipal parking lots adjacent to High Street. The Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority hosted Super Sunday to celebrate National Support Small Business Day.
The Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority on Sunday hosted Super Sunday to help celebrate National Support Small Business Day. Many downtown merchants -- including the Farmer’s Market, Lastick Furniture, Cole’s Tobacco, Tri-PAC, Memories N More, Argento’s Pizza and Laserworx -- were open for the event. The event also included the Second Brigade Motorcycle Club, which collected food and clothing for families of military members. Additionally, PDIDA volunteers -- including students from Pottstown School District -- decorated Santa's house for the upcoming holiday season. "The weather was perfect," said PDIDA Chairwoman Sheila Dugan of Sunday's pleasant temperature and clear sky.
