Two Pottstown Residents Arrested for DUI

DUI: On March 28, at 1:10 a.m., Larry Johnson, 54, of Pottstown, was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Route 422 in Upper Providence Township. Johnson was driving eastbound on Route 422 near the Oak exit when he was stopped by PSP Skippack for speeding, police said. The report states that at the time of the stop, Johnson allegedly showed multiple signs of impairment. As a result of the traffic stop, Johnson was arrested for DUI. CHarges are pending in District Court 38-1-20. DUI: On March 30, at 3:42 a.m., Andrew Milinichik, 29, of Pottstown, was arrested for DUI …

Reading Man Sentenced for Fatal DUI Crash on 422

Marco Cuevas Mora, 22, will serve two-to-six years in state prison following his guilty plea to homicide by vehicle and DUI.

A Reading man has been sentenced to two-to-six years in state prison for his role in the April DUI crash on Route 422, which claimed the life of 19-year-old Armando Mora-Lemus. According to a report by Carl Hessler with the Pottstown Mercury, 22-year-old Marco Cuevas Mora received the sentence after he enter a guilty plea on charges of homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol. Mora, who is a Mexican citizen, could also face deportation proceedings once paroled from prison, according to the report. Longford Road Crash Takes Teen's Life

He was airlifted to Hahnemann Hospital, but didn't survive.

A one-car crash in Upper Providence Township this weekend took the life of a teenager, Upper Providence Police are reporting. The victim is reported to be a Spring-Ford High School student, though his name has not yet been released. The crash, which is being investigated by Upper Providence Police and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, occurred on August 18 at approximately 8:54 p.m. on the 1000 block of Longford Road. At the time of the crash there were three juveniles in the vehicle; including a 17-year-old driver. According to a source, the vehicle crashed into the fence of Reynolds Dog Park. On impact, the rear passenger was ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Hahnemann Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.  …
