From the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms and Explosives: Antonio Freeman, former wide receiver and Super Bowl champion for the Green Bay Packers recently visited the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) headquarters in Washington to tape a series of public service announcements for the agency. Freeman met with ATF Acting Director B. Todd Jones to discuss the impact of gun crime and violent gangs in communities nationwide. Although he’s retired from football now, Freeman said he hopes he can continue to have an impact on youth nationwide. He said discouraging youth from gang membership and violent crime is not enough. Police say 24-year-old Paul Brown was found shot in his car in an alley in Norristown on Christmas night.
Authorities have identified the victim in the fatal Christmas night shooting in Norristown as 24-year-old local man Paul Brown. Friends and loved one's mourned his loss publicly via social media following the news of the killing Tuesday night, Dec. 25. According to the Norristown Police Department, police were dispatched to the alley behind 120 Wayne Ave. in Norristown at 4:41 p.m. for a report of a shooting. On the scene, they discovered Brown sitting in the driver's seat of his 1997 Buick Sedan with multiple gunshot wounds. He was reportedly transported by Plymouth Ambulance to Mercy Suburban Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for today, Wednesday, Dec. 26. Police say a 24-year-old man is dead after being shot in an alley in Norristown on Christmas night.
Norristown Police responded to the area of West Scott Alley and Park Alley at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Christmas night, Tuesday, Dec. 25, for a report of a shooting and are now investigating a homicide. According to authorities, a 24-year-old unidentified local man has been pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds. There is no suspect and police are investigating the crime in collaboration with Montgomery County Detectives.
